Can’t open the Employee Portal?

The link in the paycheck email does not work on phones. Your account is fine. Do these three things instead — about a minute, once.

  1. Open Safari and type this address

    work.westerncon.com

    Type it. Do not tap the link in the email.

  2. Sign in with your portal username and password

    They are in the email “New Company Portal User Created.” Not your employee number.

    Can’t sign in? Email IT for a reset

    Only IT can reset it. Or call 303-371-3714.

  3. Add it to your Home Screen

    In Safari, tap Share (the square with the arrow) › Add to Home Screen › Add. Use that icon from now on.

Use the Gmail app? Make it open links in Safari

Gmail opens links in its own built-in browser, and the portal cannot finish signing you in there. Fix it once:

In Gmail, tap ☰ (top left) › Settings › Default apps › Browser › Safari.

After that, links in your email open in Safari by themselves.

Still see the error after typing the address?

If it says to contact your administrator: that is the sign-in, not the phone. Use the reset button in step 2.

If it still says “An Error Occurred”: Safari has old portal data saved. Clear it, then do step 1 again.

Open Settings › Apps › Safari. Scroll to the bottom and tap Advanced.

Tap Website Data.

In the search box, type trimble. Swipe left on each result and tap Delete. Then search viewpoint and delete those too.

⚠ Do not tap “Remove All Website Data”

That signs you out of every website on your phone.

Now go back to step 1.

On an Android phone?

Same idea. Do not tap the link in the email. Open Chrome, type work.westerncon.com, sign in. Then tap ⋮ › Add to Home screen.

If it still errors, clear Chrome’s saved data for trimble and viewpoint (⋮ › Settings › Site settings › All sites) and type the address again.

¿No puede abrir el Portal del Empleado?

El enlace del correo del cheque de pago no funciona en teléfonos. Su cuenta está bien. Haga estas tres cosas en su lugar — como un minuto, una sola vez.

    Escríbala. No toque el enlace del correo.

  2. Inicie sesión con su usuario y contraseña del portal

    ¿No puede entrar? Pida a IT que la restablezca

    Solo IT puede restablecerla. O llame al 303-371-3714.

  3. Agréguelo a su pantalla de inicio

    En Safari, toque Compartir (el cuadrito con la flecha) › Add to Home Screen (Agregar a pantalla de inicio) › Add. Use ese ícono de ahora en adelante.

¿Usa la aplicación de Gmail? Haga que abra los enlaces en Safari

Gmail abre los enlaces en su propio navegador, y ahí el portal no puede terminar de iniciar su sesión. Se arregla una sola vez:

En Gmail, toque ☰ (arriba a la izquierda) › Configuración (Settings) › Aplicaciones predeterminadas (Default apps) › Navegador (Browser) › Safari.

Después de eso, los enlaces de su correo se abren solos en Safari.

¿Todavía sale el error después de escribir la dirección?

Si dice que contacte a su administrador: es el inicio de sesión, no el teléfono. Use el botón del paso 2.

Si todavía dice “An Error Occurred”: Safari tiene guardados datos viejos del portal. Bórrelos y repita el paso 1.

Abra Configuración (Settings) › Apps › Safari. Baje hasta abajo y toque Avanzado (Advanced).

Toque Datos de sitios web (Website Data).

En la búsqueda, escriba trimble. Deslice cada resultado hacia la izquierda y toque Eliminar (Delete). Luego busque viewpoint y bórrelos también.

⚠ No toque “Remove All Website Data”

Eso cierra su sesión en todos los sitios web de su teléfono.

Ahora regrese al paso 1.

¿Tiene un teléfono Android?

Es la misma idea. No toque el enlace del correo. Abra Chrome, escriba work.westerncon.com e inicie sesión. Luego toque ⋮ › Agregar a la pantalla principal (Add to Home screen).

Si todavía sale el error, borre los datos guardados de Chrome para trimble y viewpoint (⋮ › Configuración › Configuración de sitios › Todos los sitios) y escriba la dirección otra vez.
